Donations to Support Graduate Students

The International Adam Smith Society (IASS) is a small nonprofit association run by an unpaid volunteer staff.  Although the Society derives a modest revenue from membership fees and journal sales, nearly all of this is devoted to operating expenses.  Frequently, however, we learn of situations where a small amount of financial support from the Society could make a big impact in advancing Smith scholarship.  The most common scenario is an excellent graduate student who needs a travel grant to attend a conference.

Accordingly, we have established the IASS Student Bursary Fund to help such deserving students.  Donated resources will be used at the President’s recommendation (with Board approval) to offset travel, conference, or research expenses for Smith related scholarship by graduate (or exceptional undergraduate) students with clear financial need. Donations are not used for general operating expenses.
